Özet (EN)

Turkey which has high boron reserves and boron quality is the one of the world's leading country. However, the variety of products possessed very low potential well. Product variety is less than the desired level of foreign sales and marketing are not carried out due to insecurity, concentrate ore and refined products remains limited. Therefore, there is a need for studies for obtaining various boron compounds. In the literature synthesis of magnesium borate are crystallization and precipitation, mechanochemical process, microwave heating and CVD methods. Purpose of the synthesis of magnesium borate compound is to obtain the desired chemical composition at optimum conditions and to achieve minimum particle size (Nano size). It?s aimed to produce environmentally-friendly material.High temperature sintering of magnesium borate is made by solid-phase reaction. For the reaction magnesium oxide and boron oxide compounds which are found in abundance in our country and inexpensive are used. Products were characterized and transformedviiinto a dye by means of a suitable binder. As a result of the study, Mg2(B2O5) ve MgB4O7 peaks are observed at a sample?s, prepared and sintered with 1-1 mole rate at 900 ºC, FTIR and XRD charts. Fire retardation and resistance to high temperature specialties of Magnesium borate added dyes have been examined and as a result of characterization processes no decay has been observed on zinc plates which surfaces are prepared with magnesium borate added silicon binder at 800 ºC.Also efficiency and performance of this sample?s molar ratio was found to be most suitable molar ratio. In addition, limit oxygen value (39%) identified as a result of studies is proved that flame retardant properties of magnesium borate compound.
