Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, fossil fuels which are known as primary energy sources decrease , also world energy requirements are mostly provided by fosil fuels. Because of environmental pollution decrease of energy sources and diffuculties in storing electrical energy; much more attention is given to hydrogen. Hydrogen which is the most simple and common element in the world, has the highest energy capasity for per unit weight according to other fuels. And hydrogen is not a natural fuel, which is produced by different sources such as fossil fuels, biomass and especially water. One of the most important features of hydrogen is that it can easly be stored. Pure hydrogen can be stored in gaseous and liquid form in tanks, in carbon nanotubes as physical and also can be stored as hydrides chemically. Boron containing complex hydrides are considered seriously since they are used in liquid conditions. Sodium borohydride is the fundamental of boron based systems because of having much more advantageus among the other hydrogen storage methods. In this study, sodium borohydride is produced through two steps. At firs step magnesium hydride is produced by magnesium, at high hydrogen atmosphere and at high temperature. In the second step sodium boronhydride is manufactured from magnesium hydride, dehydrated borax and sodium carbonate at high temperature and pressure hydrogen atmosphere.
