Abstract (EN)

By making use of consumption theories which take part in literature, it has been added 54 countries? data to the analysis that aimed to estimate the effects of macro-economic variables on consumption expenditures made by debit and credit cards. Besides, these countries were grouped by according to the data obtained in 2008 and offered various recommendations to the banks and credit card foundations which take part in the sector.As a result of these analysis, it has been determined that, the dynamic panel data analysis is the most convenient method and one lagged dependent variable added as an independent variable to the analysis.At the end of the analysis it has been verified that income and ex-period consumption made by credit and debit cards have positive effects on the consumption expenditures made by debit and credit cards.
