Abstract (EN)
This study is concerned with the determination of 96 hour LC50 values of malathion, a toxic pollutant on aqueous system coming from agricultural activities, on Poecilia reticulata (Peters, 1859). The research was carried out using 204 Poecilia reticulata individuals. The behavioral changes of the fish were monitored at different toxicant concentrations. The data were evaluated by the use of Probit Analysis method and the 96 hour LC50 value of malathion on Poecilia reticulata (Peters, 1859) found as 19.459 ppm. This value was found to be 20.91 ppm according to Trimmed-Spearman Karber method and 22.125 ppm according to Behrens-Karber method.Key Words: Malathion, Poecilia reticulata, LC50, acute toxicity
