Abstract (EN)
In this study, different extracts of Tripleurospermum sp. collected from various localities in Malatya were investigated. Antioxidant, total amount of phenolic substances, antimicrobial activity, essential oils, fatty acids, phytochemical components analysis, MTT assay, inhibition of hyaluronidase enzyme and tyrosinase enzyme were carried out on plant samples collected from 8 different localities. Antioxidant activity studies were carried out using the DPPH and ABTS methods, and the total phenolic content (TPC) was determined using the Folin-Ciocalteu method. Antimicrobial activity studies were performed using the disk diffusion method. Gas chromatography-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-GC/MS) was used for the analysis of essential oils. The main compounds found were; (Z)-β-farnesene, β-sesquiphellandrene, salvial-4(14)-en-1-one, spatulenol, nor-copaanone, bisabolone oxide A, copaborneol, decanoic acid, tricosane, (2Z, 8Z)-matricaria ester, α-bisabolol oxide A, pentacosane, phytol and hexadecanoic acid. Gas chromatography (GC) was used for the analysis of fatty acids. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was used for the analysis of phytochemical components. The inhibition of hyaluronidase and tyrosinase enzymes was investigated. The MTT assay was performed on human skin keratinocytes and liver hepatoma cells. The results indicate that Tripleurospermum species possess significant biological activities and may have potential applications in medical and pharmaceutical fields. It was observed that the results could vary depending on the locality, extraction technique, extract fractions and species.
