SUMMARY Master Thesis THE FUNGAL FLORA OF OUTDOOR AİR İN CİTY MALATYA Canan UZUN Fırat University Graduate school of Naturel and Applied Science Department of Biology 2005 Having ability of reproduction in all conditions containing water and organic substances, fungus spores spread into air by atmospheric events. These spores come into the body by means of respiration and cause infections, toxicity and allergic reactions. It is important to determine fungus in the air to be protected against allergic reactions. Therefore, five different places were selected in Malatya, and the seasonal fungus dispersion was examined. In these studies, Petri-plak technique was used. 56 different species belonging to 17 different classes were diagnosed in 360 petri-plak(s). The results indicate that four dominant classes are Penn-icillium, Cladosporium, Alternqria, Aspergillus. Key Words: Fungal spores, outdoor air, allergy n
