Determination of Rational Drug Use Knowledge Levels of Syrians Under Adult Temporary Protection Applying to Immigrant Health Centers in Malatya Province and Related Factors Aim: In this study, it is aimed to determine the knowledge level of Syrian citizens who came to our country as a result of the Syrian Civil War and to examine the factors affecting it. Material and Method: A total of 983 Syrian patients under temporary protection in 4 Migrant Health Centers in Malatya were included in the study. Rational Drug Use Scale, which includes sociodemographic characteristics, was applied to the data. The total point value that can be obtained from the scale is 42 points, and the cut-off value of the scale is 34 points. Patients with a score of 35 and above were considered to have sufficient knowledge about rational drug use. The Cronbach'salpha effective value of the scale is 0.789. Results: Of the participants, 577 (58.7%) were female and 406 (41.3%) were male. The age was 33.4±12.6 years. In addition, 929 (94.5%) of them are literate and 38.1% of them are high school graduates. The duration of participation in the research was 5.8±2 years in Turkey and the duration of stay in Malatya was 5.2±2.1 years. 23.1% of all participants were score 35 and above. While the scores of the patients did not differ according to gender, a weak correlation was found with age. In addition, it was determined that education level, years lived in Turkey, marital status, regular working life in Syria, living in villages and towns were effective factors on rational drug use. Conclusion: According to the results, it was determined that the rational drug use knowledge level of the participants was low. When the results of the study are compared with the results of other studies conducted in Turkey, the awareness of Syrians living in Turkey is lower than Turkish.
