In the acquisition of data, questionnaire forms have been applied for students and employees and the statistical analysis of data was evaluated by using SPSS 22.0 packet programme. Also in the dormitory cafeterias total polar material amount and the temperature of frying oil was measured using frying oil test bench 2 times a day, including morning and evening, for four months. How much oil is consumed and how much waste oil collected in the dormitories for four months were recorded. %44 of students who participated in the study (n = 698) is male; %56 (n = 890) is females. %41.8 of students who participated in the study in Malatya, %22.2 of students in Adiyaman, %24.5 of students in Elaziğ, %11.5 of students in Tunceli, stay in the dormitories. According to location of running recorded Total Polar Material (TPM) the amount and minimum, median and maximum values of temperature of frying oils were measured for four months. İn the dormitories when we look at median of TPM and Temperature of frying oils measured in the morning, respectively; 12.5 in Malatya, 12.0 in Adıyaman, 12.5 in Elazığ and 12.5 in Tunceli, 129 oC in Malatya, 115 oC in Adıyaman, 138 oC in Elazığ and 108.75 oC in Tunceli was determined that. It has been found that the general quality statuses of the used frying oil are acceptable. In conclusion, showed that students and employees have information about waste oil.
