Malumat journal (25-50. issues) survey and selected texts

This dissertation examines how Malumat Periodical tried to fulfill a mission of being against new literal tendencies and styles at the time of its publication and how it contributed the literal atmosphere in relation to its stance towards the polarizations seen in literary visions.In the ?Introduction? part, the political, social and cultural panorama of its publication period is given and according to some researchers? studies prominent features of this era are pointed out and evaluated.In the ?1. Chapter?, other periodicals in the same era are introduced and by mentioning their contents cultural demands and tendencies of the society of that time are enlightened.In the ?2. Chapter?, the mission, principles, formal properties and content of the periodical are presented. In addition to this the writers of the periodical are introduced.In the ?3. Chapter?, literary texts in the periodical are classified and evaluated according to their genres.In the ?4. Chapter?, texts chosen from the periodical are transcripted from Arabic to Latin alphabet.In the ?5. Chapter?, the chronological index of the texts is given.In the ?6. Chapter?, the alphabetical index of the literary texts according to their writers is presented.By this study it is aimed to present the literary activities of Malumat Periodical which was in favor of classical literary works and was forgotten in time as the writers? literary conceptions were changing and new approaches and styles were being used. In conclusion, it is important to examine this periodical in which there were qualified literary texts in order to expose and remember the contributions of the writers of that time to the literature.
