Abstract (EN)

Boron has an important place for our country because Turkey has 72.2% of the world's boron reserves. It is found widely in dry, volcanic and thermoactive places in Turkey and USA. Boron minerals are used commercially in a wide variety of businesses and the products of boron are having more uses in products each passing day. Some of these areas are glass industry, textile industry, cosmetics industry, chemistry. Manganese borates are not found in nature. Manganese borates act as a desiccant for vegetable oils and are generally used as a desiccant for paint and mature oil. In addition, they are raw materials for ink and paint driers and can also be used in the glass and ceramic industry. Manganese borates can be produced by thermal process under high temperature and high pressure. In this study, two step synthesis procedure was used; hydrothermal magnetic stirring and high temperature furnace. According to XRD analysis; synthesized samples was seen to be MnB4O7 with pdf code of 01-070-2045.
