Research on the effects of welder profile on industry in Manisa region

In this study by referring to the evalmations of industrial organisations in Manisa, welding education and training have been evaluated on the basis of its sufficiency level, school curriculum efficiency, social utility and satisfaction level of the expectations of employers; it is also aimed to find out if there is a meaningful connection between welders? status in their working life and their education and if there is such a connection to interpret this connection.Evaluation of welding education and training, exposition of the effect of the gradmates? education and training in their efforts to find employment, and the fact that both workshops and intermediate educational and training institutions and faculties which may use this thesis as a reference study, all these make this research important.Within this research,due to the informations that have been taken from the chamber of industry and trade in Manisa,750 industrial firms which employs welding workers have been determined.In this research face to face questionnaire method has been used.This survey has been carried out at industrial vocational high scholls including metal technology in centre of Manisa, Akhisar Salihli and Turgutlu. In this research, in accordance with the law of vocational training no 3308, the firms that give work to students are prioritised. This survey has been carried through face to face communication with people who are the administrators in 87 industrial enprises and 205 people who are welding workers in industrial firms.The results that obtained in this research show the level of efficiency of education and training of welding in preparing the welders to the effective working life.Key Words : Manisa, welder, industry
