Abstract (EN)
The study area covers the most part of the Manisa mountain which is situated south of Manisa city. in the area rocks belongs to Mesozoic and coenozoic. Crateceous calcareous whic'h are Mesozoic aged cover the most of area. In the area the Mediterranean climate prevails. There are two great soil groups in the areaj Red Mediterranean soils and Rendzinas. In the area is found 593 taxon which belongs to 81 families at the end of the floristic investigation. The families which have maximum species are; Compositae (79), Leguminosae (72), Labia tae (4-3).Cruciferae, Caryophylla- ceae and Gramineae follows by them. IllThe vegetation was studied according to Braun-Blanqu- et method. The following associations were described in the area: In the maquis vegetation, Quercus coccifera association. In the Mediterranean forest vegetation; Pinus brutia association and Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana association. In the Mediterranean forest-Mediterranean mountain pass steppe vegetation; Vicia cracca subsp. ste- nophylla association, Paeonia peregrina association and Juniperus sabina association. Paeonia peregrina and Juniperus sabina are described for the first time in Turkey.The phytosociological classi fication was given for the first time in Vicia cracca subsp. stenophylla association, although was investigated before. All associations belong to Quercetea pubescentis and Querco-Cedretalia libani.
