Determination of outdoor and indoor airborne fungus flora and seasonal distributions of Manisa city center

Özet (EN)

In this study, it has been aimed to search indoor and outdoor airborne fungi in Manisa city center andto determine their seasonal distribution. The study was carried out on samples of microfungi sporescollected in 2004. Samples were taken monthly from 11 outdoor and 4 indoor stations in city center for12 months. Merck MAS100 air sampler was used in the study. Sterile Rosebengal ChloramphenicolAgar plates used for isolation fungi from air. Total 10323 microfungi colonies counted on 540 petriplates. At the end of the study total 48 species belong to 14 genera those are in Ascomycetes,Saccharomycetes and Zygomycetes classis were identified.In addition, 3 species belonging to 3 different genera are probable new records for Turkey. Thesespecies are Acremonium byssoides Gams & Lim, Arthrobotrys arthrobotryoides (Berl.) Lindau, andOidiodendron truncatum Baron.Key Words : Manisa, airborne fungi, allergy, new record
