Abstract (EN)
Today's biggest environmental problem is water pollution. The rapidly growing water problem such as the decrease in usable water and water scarcity experienced together with the climate crisis has made it necessary to take precautions on a global scale. It is seen that textile dyes are at the forefront of the factors causing water pollution. Wastewater generated in the dyeing processes of textile products contains high amounts of dyes and chemicals. Discharging this wastewater without treatment causes ecological problems to grow exponentially. The most common method used in the treatment of textile wastewater is adsorption. The biggest limitation of the method is the high cost of suitable adsorbent. This necessitates the dissemination of low-cost, environmentally friendly, easy-to-dispose and usable adsorbents. In the study, the suitability of magnetic Fe3O4 modified activated carbon as an adsorbent for the treatment of Remazol Brilliant Blue R, which is abundant in textile wastewater, was investigated. In the adsorption of the used dyestuff with the recommended adsorbent; Parameters such as concentration, pH, adsorbent amount, mixing time, kinetics and temperature were examined and optimum conditions were determined. According to the findings, it was seen that magnetic Fe3O4 modified activated carbon is a suitable adsorbent in the treatment of Remazol Brilliant Blue R dye from textile wastewater.
