Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study; The aim of this study is to investigate the usability of composites prepared by the pyrolysis of apricot kernel shell, apricot kernel shell - montmorillonite clay and apricot kernel shell - montmorillonite clay - FeCl3 with chitosan as an adsorbent in the removal of heavy Cu+2 metals from aqueous solution. To determine the adsorption capacities of the adsorbents prepared for this purpose; Experimental solutions to be used in adsorption studies were prepared by diluting the copper(II)nitrate hemihydrate (Cu(NO3)2.2,5H2O stock solution with distilled water to the desired concentration with a concentration of 1000 mg/L. Batch equilibrium adsorption studies, 250 mL heavy metal solution prepared as an adsorbent magnetic The effect of two different adsorption parameters on montmorillonite-biochar/chitosan composites, such as pH (2-8) and contact time, (up to 300 minutes), was investigated. After the adsorption was completed, Cu+2 remaining in the solution phase was measured using a UV-visible spectrophotometer on the surface of the adsorbents. The amount of adsorbed Cu+2 was calculated.The structure and surface images of the obtained biochar and composites were examined using FTIR and SEM device. Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models were used to analyze the data obtained and the adsorption parameters were calculated from these isotherms. The adsorption equilibrium curves were drawn in the adsorption models applied. The most congruent was the Freundlich isotherm curve.
