Abstract (EN)
The rapid development of micro- and nano-technological systems requires the development of more efficient and small-sized devices and materials. In this thesis, theorical and experimental investigations of magnetic fluid based sensors and devices belonging to the class of relatively new materials have been made. It has been proposed to convert some or all of the systems which are widely used and have magnetizing properties by using magnetic fluid. Magnetic fluid cores are used instead of magnetizing cores of magnetic systems, the output characteristics of industrial and model transformers are evaluated. The structure of the small-sized transformer has been proposed and the sustained adjustability of the output characteristics of such transformers is shown. Some problems related to magnetization, hydrodynamic and structural properties of magnetic fluid-used devices and sensors have been investigated and simple solutions have been given. The sensor design can be used for high current measurements and the theoretical basis of the sensor has been improved. Simple measurement method theory has been developed for the determination of the density and magnetic susceptibility of small sized, paramagnetic samples with magnetic fluid based. The flow and stability conditions of the thin magnetic fluid layers under the magnetic field on the sensor surfaces are examined both theoretically and experimentally. The theoretical and experimental results are shown with graphs and tables and these results are compared and evaluated.
