Abstract (EN)

Magnetostrictive sensors (MsS) are one of the most stable and high resolution sensors among the technologies that fall into the liquid level meter class in industry and trade. The interest in magnetostrictive technology is constantly increasing due to its high stability, not requiring much maintenance and low cost of installation, and lower purchasing cost compared to different sensors in similar purpose areas. Despite the sensor is used in areas such as medical and construction, it is especially used for underground inventory level monitoring at fuel stations. Fuel tank and field areas are explosive and risky areas. MsS's are frequently preferred in the fuel industry as they are the safest sensors to be used for these areas. MLT works according to the magnetostriction method, which is based on the magnetic field creating a change in the size or shape of the ferromagnetic material. Within the scope of the method, the position of the magnet is determined by calculating the time from the wave's exit to the return moment. In this study, it is aimed to simultaneously measure the fuel level, temperature and the amount of water remaining at the bottom of the tank, which are very significant for the industry, in a stable manner. In this context, the magnetostrictive level transmitter (MLT), which is resistant to harsh environmental conditions and is one of the leading measurement and sensing technologies, has been designed in real time. In addition, the zener barrier application, which limits the voltage and current sent to the components, has been integrated into the system in order to reduce the danger situation of the MLT working in the risky area. The design has been tested under different environmental conditions in real time. The results obtained from the completely uniquely designed sensor in terms of hardware and software are at a satisfactory level. In addition to , the domestic production and use of the sensor will largely solve the import problem in this area.
