The effect of free time satisfaction levels of Mardin 2023Turkish Kickboxing Championship audiences on perceivedquality

This study examined the effect of free time satisfaction levels of 460 spectators attending the Mardin 2023 Turkey Kickboxing Championship on their perceived quality of the organization. In this quantitative method-based study, data were collected through the Free Time Satisfaction Scale developed by Beard and Ragheb (1980) and adapted to Turkish by Gökçe and Orhan (2011) and the Perceived Quality in Sports Organizations Scale developed by Bayraktaroğlu and Katkat (2017). Survey technique was used within the scope of the quantitative method in the study; data were analyzed with SPSS 2024. As a result of t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analyses, a positive and significant relationship was found between satisfaction level and perceived quality (r = 0.64, p < .001). Individuals who do regular sports and have a higher level of education have a higher perception of quality (p < .01), and no gender difference was found. The results showed that free time satisfaction significantly affects the perceived quality of sports organizations. This finding indicates that sports organizations should not only offer sports activities but also be planned holistically to meet the social, cultural and psychological needs of the participants. As a suggestion; The findings obtained reveal that the leisure satisfaction levels of the spectators significantly affect the quality perception of sports organizations and show that spectator satisfaction should be considered as a central element in organization planning.
