ABSTRACT PH.D THESIS MARKOV CHAINS, FIBONACCI DISTRUBITIONS AND LUCAS NUMBERS ABD ANASIR SALEM EDABAA KASTAMONU UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS SUPERVISOR:PROF.DR. GÖKSAL BİLGİCİ In the thesis, firstly, k-order Fibonacci and Lucas numbers are obtained by using Bernoulli number sequences. A closed form of these numbers and generator functions are given. Then the probability distribution function of the waiting time problem is examined in Markov experiments. The method used are special cases of the Rosenbluth-Hastings MCMC method. In addition, using the inverse function technique, Fibonacci and Lucas distributions were investigated by R software and the first 20 independent values were given.
