Özet (EN)

Energy is needed for life to exist in the world. Energy demand per capita has increased, especially after the industrial revolution, which has increased the use of fossil fuels. Both the environmental damage caused by fossil fuels and the depletion of fossil fuel reserves around the world have led to the search for new resources. In this study, the results obtained by simulating the Hybrid Energy Potential HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model For Electrical Renewable - hybrid optimization model for renewable electricity) program of the Marmara Region are mapped. By determining the electrical load of a village consisting of 20 houses, 1 market, 1 school and 1 mosque, current economic data for renewable energy sources and wind, solar, biomass and hydrokinetic source data available in the region are identified, NPC (total net cost) and COE (unit energy cost) cost, network extension cost and emission information of hybrid systems have been calculated and renewable energy mapping has been done across Marmara. PV panels are stored only in the daytime with batteries, since wind turbines generate intermittent energy. To reduce the cost, the number of batteries and the number of PV panels are not left to the user preference but determined by the HOMER algorithm. With biomass and hydrokinetic generators, where continuous production is provided, the base need was met and the most suitable solution for all components was simulated with HOMER. In the provinces where hydrokinetic energy is not used, the unit cost of energy production is in the range of $ 0.137 - $ 0.159, whereas in the provinces where hydrokinetic energy is used, the unit cost of energy production was in the range of $ 0.099 - $ 0.131. While grid electricity was $ 0.11, the cost of energy generation in Çanakkale was found to be $ 0.099. The components used for each province are shown on the map. The most cost-effective renewable energy production method on a provincial basis is clearly seen on the map. Although costs are generally higher than the grid, the costs will be reduced with the R&D studies and incentives, and the production and use of renewable energy will increase with the awareness of the society by considering the effects on the environment and the life of fossil fuels are running out.
