Pictorial i̇nterpretation of geometric forms and colors

The societies that have lived in the historical process have had cultural ethnographic accumulations. In the history of painting, artists have used the cultural accumulation of societies to create an aesthetic image of art using ethnographic objects. The aim of this study is -starting from the hookah form which belongs to tobacco culture- to consider the art of "Lance" as an artistic image, and to try to reach an abstract imagery based on the concrete object. In this process, there is an effort to search the surface on the two dimensional and uniform structure of the object. With the arrangements created, visual illusion is provided by the effect of color, light, form and composition components. First of all, the literature was searched and examined. At the same time, the visuals collected in the data were used to create applications with a plastic attitude. The study consists of three parts. In the first part: The definition, history and the process of the water pipe in the history of water pipe are discussed. In the second part: visual illusion, color and light were studied. Visual perception and illusions of visual perception were examined. Then, physical, light, color, color theories, the effects of color theories on painting, along with the explanations of examples on the periodic differences in color and light in painting after plastic in the 19th century, their application and change. The examples are presented with descriptions. Before proceeding to the analysis of paintings and plastics made within the scope of the thesis, which is the last part of the study, the domestic and foreign artists who source the paintings created within the scope of the research have been examined and given information about the techniques. In the third part of the study: With the contribution of the researches in the previous chapters, the composition features of the narrative language from concrete to abstract within the intellectual and aesthetic values of hookah lances are completed with the analysis of a series of applications created with a plastic attitude. In the studies, even if the hookah "Lance" object is rich and not varied, it has shown important results that it can be a good art object with the use of pictorial elements. As a matter of fact, the rhythmic effect of the network of relations formed by the lines at right angles and the colors of the hookah lances in the applications caused the creation of original works.
