Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT In this study, static and dynamic strength of seams welded by rutil and basic flux cored and massive wire of Gas Metal Arc Welding are investigated. The effect of welding parameters to seams are also examined. Welding technologies have gained importance according to improving industry so it is widely used in manufacturing processes. The wire and the welding parameters are as important as the welding process in order to obtain seams that are cheap and good in quality. Improvements in the area of electrode manufacturing have put the problem of how and where to use the right type of electode in welding. Misunderstanding of the properties and the characteristics of electrodes utilized in gas metal arc welding which is used especially in heavy industry applications causes important application hazards. In this study, strength analysis of seams welded by gas metal arc and rutil and basic cored wire are evaluated and then strain, knock impact and hardness experiments are carried out for comparison. In order to investigate the effects of various welding parameters, seams are welded by changing one of the parameters while keeping the others constant.
