Investigation and development of matt macro crystal glazes

Crystal glazes, which are the artistic glaze type, make attractive the applied ceramic surface by the visual effects. Its acquisition extends a long process. The firing temperature, the program and the way of application glaze are quite important. In this study, matt macro crystal glazes studied practically, firing temperature and program of glazes which demonstrate positive properties, were conducted with a research program including the use of increasing and decreasing rates raw materials in the glaze body by experiments. This research consists of four parts. In the first part, ceramic glazes and artistic glazes were defined, ın the part chapter, the definition, history and types of crystal glazes and information about artists who study with it. The third part consist of the definition of raw materials and oxides which are used in the research of matt macro crystal glazes, investigation of the experiments where are performed and applied different firing temperatures. In the last part, based on results of the positive structure of the experiments has been replicated and personal applications have been started. Glazed products obtained with different visual effects by the oxides which is used in personal applications and their percantages were modified.
