Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is studied to determine the effect of storyline method, used in conceptual teaching, on success and attidutes.Pre test- post test matching control grouped experimental design has been used in this study. The study group consisted of 40 sixth grade studdents, studying at Kırşehir Aşıkpaşa Primary School in 2011-2012 academic year. The study included two groups; an experimental group (20 students) and a control group (20 students). Both of the groups was equaled according to their number, success level and result of their pre-test. In research, while the unit of Integar and Absolute Value was taught with using storyline method to the experimental group, the same unit was taught with using available methods to the control group. In order to acquire data, in respect of units? goals, success tests, consisted of 25 questions prepared by researcher and Petek Aşkar?s attitude test were administered to students before and after the instruction. Acquired data was analyzed by the help of statistical methods such as mean, standart deviation, t-test for independent and dependent groups. In the consequence of research, the results could be summed as:i) There was a meaningful significance in favour of experimental group between two groups in terms of academic achievement.ivii) There wasn?t a meaningful significance between two groups in terms of attidute.Key Words: Mathematic Teaching, Storyline Method, Success, Attitude.
