Özet (EN)

ABSTRACT: Miniature is a Turkish art with its own unique form. The most productive period of miniature art, which we saw in the Uighurs in the first examples, coincides with the 16th century. One of the names who lived in this period was Nasuh b. Abdullah (Karagöz) is al-Silahi al-Matraki al-Bosnavi. Although no definite information about the life of Matrakçı Nasuh is known today, it is known that he was taken to the palace at a young age and educated in Enderun during the reign of Beyazid II. As a painter and history writer, Nasuh depicts the places he saw during his campaigns with Suleiman the Magnificent in his own unique style. Therefore, it has an important place in terms of creating a new style in miniature art. When we evaluate Western art and miniature art in terms of space and time in the history of art, we see that we encounter two different conceptions of space. However, while space-time has changed in Western art, the idea of space-time being expressed on the two-dimensional surface and with absolute understanding of time does not change in miniature art. In this context, the concepts of space and time in miniature art are discussed and the concept of space and time in Matrakçı Nasuh works is explained.
