Abstract (EN)

Although he stands out with his mutakallim identity in the Islamic world; Imam Maturidi, who received a deep education in Islamic sciences such as tafsir, fiqh and methodology, is known for his versatile scientific personality. As a result of this scientific personality, he wrote the work called Te'vîlâtü'l-Kur'an, in which the Qur'an is interpreted from beginning to end. Although it is a work of tafsir of the type of acumen, it did not neglect to use hadith narrations while explaining the verses. For this reason, the work has an important place in determining his hadithism. In this study, information about Imam Maturidi's life, scientific personality, works and his understanding of hadith are given. We tried to make a sound assessment of these narrations by evaluating 125 narrations that he included in the interpretation of Surah Al-Baqara, where there are verses on almost every subject. While only 1 (1,24 %) of the 125 narrations used by Imam Maturidi's while interpreting Surah Baqara (1 to 210 verses) couldn't be identified in any source, 102 (72,72 %) of these narrations were found to be sound, 4 (4,96 %) of them good, 17 (21,08 %) of them weak and 1 (1,24 %) of them unfounded. In addition, 84 of the 125 narrations he used are in the book Kutub-i Tis'a, 19 of them are in the sources other than the book Kutub-i Tis'a, and 21 of them have taken their places in the narration-based tafsir books. Key Words: Imam Mâtürîdî, Te'vîlâtü'l Qur'an, Hadith, Analyze, Surah Al-Baqara.
