Abstract (EN)
This thesis consists of an introduction, five chapters, and a conclusion. In the introduction, Māturīdī's life, scholarly personality, and the reasons for his lack of recognition are discussed. Considering the fact that there has been much research on this topic, the introduction was kept as brief as possible to avoid redundancy. The first chapter presents examples of the narrations and views reported by other exegetes regarding the explanation of the verse, as well as examples of those rejected by Māturīdī due to being contrary to the context of the Qur'an and its siyāq-sibāk (contextual) framework. The second chapter addresses Māturīdī's epistemological means, the nature of the knowledge subject to narration, and its classification based on reasoning. The third chapter includes the classification and explanations of the narrations he rejected in the context of language and rhetoric. The fourth chapter investigates the views he rejected, taking into account historical data and the context of revelation. The final chapter deals with the views he rejected due to theological and rational inferences. In the conclusion, the findings derived from the study are presented.
