Solution methods of müshkil verses in Mâverdi

All praise is due to Allah, the Owner of all blessings, who has made His servants aware of these blessings through the Book He has sent down, and who has promised many more. Peace and blessings be upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family and companions) who conveyed the Book to us in the most beautiful way, complete and complete. en-Nuketh ve'l Uyûn is the distinguished tafsir of the great Islamic scholar, jurist, politician, Imam Abu al-Hasan al-Basrî al-Mâverdî, who died in 450 AH, and who was a good successor to his predecessors in the Islamic world and a light that dispelled the darkness for those who came after him. The Imam included many Qur'anic sciences in this work and thus aimed to achieve maximum benefit for the readers. In this study, the science of Mushkil al-Qur'an, which is one of these sciences and is instrumental in eliminating the obscurities in the Qur'an, is examined. In the introduction part of the study, which is prepared as an introduction and two chapters, information about the subject, scope, purpose, importance and related literature is given. Thus, the need for this study was tried to be determined. In the first part, information about al-Mâverdî's life, scholarly personality, teachers, students and works is given and his place in the world of science is tried to be revealed. In the last chapter, first of all, what this science is in relation to the science of Mushkil al-Qur'an was mentioned in outline. Then, the birth process and historical course of this science is explained and the concept is aimed to be well established. Afterwards, the reasons of mushkil were mentioned and the information given in our sources on how to solve them was conveyed. In the second part of the second chapter, the verses that al-Mâverdî saw as mushkil and explained in his tafsir were first identified and then examined how al-Mâverdî solved them. After this examination, the sources belonging to the pre-Mâverdî period were first scanned to determine whether or not al- Mâverdî's inference was his own. As for the solutions of al-Mâverdî's solutions to the problems whose sources belong to al-Mâverdî, an effort has been made to determine the motives that led him to this solution. Then, the post- Mâverdî period was analyzed in its main outlines, and the commentators who were influenced by him after al- Mâverdî were identified. At the same time, whether these commentators cited al-Mâverdî in their quotations from al-Mâverdî was examined and whether they made different explanations on al-Mâverdî's solutions to the difficulties was tried to be determined. In the concluding part, information is given about al-Mâverdî's attitude and way of examining the obscurities, how much he adhered to the narrations in his tafsir, and whether he made a preference between them.
