Özet (EN)
The existence of humanity and the person in the cosmos has so far been scrutinized and defined in many ways "by their own members", especially from the scientific, theological, and philosophical perspective. As a matter of fact, the basis of the philosophical thought of Max Ferdinand Scheler, who is accepted as the founder of Philosophical Anthropology by many authorities, is the following two questions: "What is human?", "Where is the place of humans in existence?". According to Scheler the ultimate feature of humanity is it has not been subjected to a completely aprioristic process and structure of existence, unlike other living things; this situation makes human beings "autonomous as much as possible" and "free". Thus, Scheler divides the human into two bases as Psychovital & Geist-being. In this study, the concept and phenomenon of "freedom" appearing in whole humanity and person have been tried to be examined in the axis of Scheler's thoughts.
