Abstract (EN)

The current study arranged a biochemical study of liver enzymes and their effect on patients with renal failure, using biochemical indicators and their role in laboratory diagnosis of patients. Where the study collected 60 samples of patients with chronic renal failure in Kirkuk General Hospital from November 2021 to February 2022, and 20 samples of healthy people of varying ages. Where the level of ALT, ALP, and AST was evaluated using laboratory materials in the Biochemistry analyzer, as well as the evaluation of urea, creatinine, and uric acid in the spectrophotometer. Where the AlP level was significantly higher (P ≤ 0.05) in hemolysis patients compared with the healthy control group. Where the AST level was significantly low (P ≤ 0.05) in hemolysis patients compared with the healthy control group. Where the level of ALT was significantly higher (P ≤ 0.05) in hemolysis patients compared with the healthy control group. The results of the evaluation of urea, creatinine, and uric acid showed a significant increase compared to the control group. It was also found through the current study that high levels of ALP and low levels of AST, ALT and when treating patients with renal failure during hemodialysis may contribute to their dysfunction.
