Mecdi Mehmed Efendi's Gazels (Text-Research)

Texts of Divan Literature are studies which are spirit of the literature.This study is on Edirneli Mecdî Mehmed Efendi who has completed his literature on both branches of verse and prose; and described as savant, poet and author.Mecdî, who has had important position among 16.th centenarian poets and savants, has obtained his real fame with interpretation of Hadâiku?ş-Şakâ'ik in Şakâyık-ı Nuèmaniyye. Addition to this interpretation, he has also had Gazels, literary compositions and other interpretations.At first section of the study; life, literature and personal analysis of Mecdî has examined. At second section, configuration of Gazels, style and contents are pointed out. And at third section text with transcription is given.The aim of this study is to recognize and to introduce poet characteristic of Mecdî Mehmed from Edirne by biographies and poets in detail.Key Words: Mecdî Mehmet Efendi, Gazel, Edirne, Şakâyık-ı Nuèmaniyye, Text with Transcription
