ATİŞIn this study, 5186-H111, 5083-O and 5083-H111 (Alustar) aluminum alloyplates were welded as similar and dissimilar alloy joints using Friction Stir Welding(FSW) process in order to investigate mechanical and microstructural properties. Inorder to investigate the effect of welding speeds on mechanical properties, metallographic and mechanical tests were carried out on the welded areas of theparts. Vickers hardness profile and tensile tests of the joints experimentally assessed. As a metallurgical investigation, Optic Microscopy and Scanning ElectronMicroscopy (SEM) were used for base and weld zones. Keywords: Friction Stir Welding, Welding of Al Alloys, 5186-H111,5083-O, 5083-H111 (Alustar)
