Mecmû'a-i Eş'âr, Istanbul University Rare Books Library, number: NEKTY03473 (1B-36A) (Examination-comparative text-MESTAP Table)

This study consists of the analysis and transcribed comparative study of the poems between the pages 1b-36a in the poetry journal Mecmûՙa-i Eşՙâr that is registered in number NEKTY03473 in Istanbul University Library of Rare Books. After explaining the goal, importance, method and the subject of this study, the journal has been introduced, various informations regarding the poems and poets in the journal has been shared, and showed with numeric datas, tables and graphics. Following that is journals comparison with related academic sources and transcription. Differences between compared works and the journal has been showed in footnotes.The information and data from the journal has been shared in the conclusion. Between the pages 1b-36a of the journal there is 408 total poems with 46 Persian, 362 Turkish poems. These poems have been written in 8 different poetry styles by 133 poets with pseudonyms that could be confirmed that lived between the 15th and 19th century. Poems have been written with 22 different prosodies. Persian poems have not been included in the review. The content table of this work has been prepared in accordance to Systematic Classification Project of Journals (MESTAP). The goal of our study is to unearth the poems of the poets without diwans, presenting the newer poems of the poets with diwans and that you can reach informations regarding them via various resources, completing the missing parts of the poems if such exist and contributing the correct reading of these poems if there are wears and ageing that would prevent them to be read correctly in diwan copies. Another of ours is to present the works of the poems that we could not confirm the poets of.
