Abstract (EN)

Civil procedure law and criminal procedure law contain different jurisdictional issues. Even though they contain different rules, Criminal Procedure Law has effects on Civil Procedure Law. Both the doctrine and the practices of the Supreme Court show us that although it is different from the civil procedure law in many aspects in terms of the subject and procedures of the criminal procedure law, it affects the civil procedure law in terms of final judgment. The issue of how the decisions made as a result of the criminal proceedings will affect the civil proceedings has been evaluated in detail in this thesis. The equivalent of Article 53 of the old abolished Code of Obligations No. 818 is Article 74 in the new Turkish Code of Obligations. Although it is a priority article related to our thesis topic, there are other different articles in our legislation. The effects of the decisions made as a result of the criminal proceedings on the civil trial process is the main target of this thesis. In addition, it should be noted that the doctrine and the practices of the Supreme Court differ in this regard.
