The impact of medical intelligence on national security

Abstract (EN)

A critical aspect of national security and protection is the medical intelligence factor, which makes up the basis of the state's existence, as well as the perception of security that changes day by day. The different definitions of the concept of security are given in the research by examining the relationship between security and threat to reach a conclusion. The concept of threat has become a multidimensional and asymmetrical fact, and the general framework of medical threats affecting national security is described. In the past, epidemic diseases with asymmetric effects have changed the course of events. An explanation of how biotechnological and medical threats could threaten human safety, health, and national security are given with practical examples. An explanation that epidemics have such profound effects that they cannot be determined if they occur naturally is given. It is exemplified that the abuse of the facts of medical threat and medical intelligence that would be threatening for individuals and national security, and it is analyzed that states have taken new security measures because of these threats since the concepts of medical intelligence has become even more important. Finally, the research will outline how the concept of medical intelligence can strengthen the national security of countries and how it can detect infectious diseases inside and outside borders, as well as various some other threats that may affect health.
