New media as a range in media art

This work reaserches new media art which has occured through technological development in media art. Improvement of computer, artistic approaches through computer, new media, principles of new media, new media's connection with early movements and its examples are the study subjects. New media is a new study case in the world also in our country, so it has not a written history yet. It makes also hard to sort new media art and it makes strong necessarity written information about it. The rapid proliferation and shaping of new media the internet has an important place because of its facilitating access. Through internet roaming of information and accessiblity for everyone became easier. At the other side art which is done through internet is not anymore 'sublime', it is anonym. Except this we started to use decriptions like virtual space, hybrid space, interactivity in our daily lives and from being passive viewer we became active viewer. In this respect, the most important difference of new media art is its interactivity. This work is compilation of developments of new media art, its branches ve examples.
