Abstract (EN)

The employed women in the media sector are facing common challenges they face in work- life and women are working in lower-level jobs. In the first part of this thesis, will be examined feminist approaches form the theoretical basis of sexism in the media sector. In the first part of this thesis will be reviewed the base of feminist approach that creates sexism in the media sector. In the second part of the thesis the will be placed on the position of women in work- life in historical perspective. In that part will be analyzed also women's overview in life- work, problems faced by women and the entry of them into the media sector. The third part of the thesis told the challenges they face in life and gender studies in the literature applications involving discrimination of women, in the media sector consists of a research to measure their experience. It will be tried to describe the difficulties faced by women journalist with the depth interviews realized with women journalists in Kosovo. The main aim of the thesis was to find out issues that arise gender discrimination faced by women journalists in media sector and propose solutions for them.
