Mehmed bin Mustafa Akkirmânî And his epistle on İrâde-i Cüz'iyye

In the Islamic world, different ideas and views have been put forward in the field of belief in the historical process. These views paved the way for the emergence of various sects. There have been discussions between the members of the sect and those with opposing views. Members of each sect endeavored to defend their sect's view. The issue of juzʾī will was one of the main issues that the members of the sect criticized their opponents. In this context, this study focuses on the life and works of Akkirmānī, one of the scholars of the Ottoman Empire who lived in the 18th century, and his treatise in which he evaluates other sects on the subject of juzʾī will.
