Abstract (EN)

The concept of intertextuality, which was put forward by Julia Kristeva and based on the view that texts are in mutual exchange with each other, is one of the textuality features that texts should have. Each written text is the joint work of the author and the reader's environment, situation and experiences. Based on this reality, there is a continuous process of interaction and mutual information flow between the texts. In this study, it is aimed to determine the situation of our poet of independence, Mehmet Âkif Ersoy's Safahât, one of the strong personalities of our literature, in terms of intertextuality in Turkish education. In this context, "quotes", "references (citations)" and "allusions" from intertextual relations in the book were identified and interpreted. In the study, case study, one of the qualitative research designs, was used. Document analysis method, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the collection of data and the obtained data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The materials of the study consist of poems in seven different books that make up Mehmet Âkif Ersoy's Safahât. As a result of the evaluation of the poems in the work according to the criterion of intertextuality, it has been determined that references (citations) are used dominant among the methods of intertextuality. As a result of the study, it was concluded that Safahât is suitable for intertextual reading in Turkish education.
