The transcriptional text of praise poems and tahmises in Mehmet Fazıl Efendi's Divan ( A collection of lyric poems)

Keywords: In this study we have examined qasida and tahmis of Mevlevi Mr. Mehmet Fazıl who was head official of Izmit in the ninetieth century of our literature. The poems are generally about religion. Besides religioun, qasides mention religion savant,Mevlana and praise of goverment people with dates. In ghazel tahmises,especially the love of people who are member of Mevlevi sect are mentioned. The qaside and tahmis are taken from seven hundred and three numbered hand writing piece in Halit Efendi part of Süleymaniye Library. The whole of Divan is one hundred and fifty eight big sheets.. The written piece of our study includes ; three besmele poem, one repetance poem, four pray, nine poem which praises prophet Muhammed, one praises poem of four beloved, two elegy, four praises poem of Mevlana, one praise poem of Mevlevi signiture, fourteen qasida history and twenty eight tahmis with their translations. Mr.Mevlevi Mehmet Fazıl reflects the items of Mevlevi beliefs, feelings and opinioss to his written piece(work). IV
