Abstract (EN)

In this study, Al reinforced SiC(grinding paper) composite is produced by mechanical metallurgy method. F 180(53-90 µm), F 240(28-70 µm), F 360(12-40 µm ), F 400(8-32 µm ), F 800(2-14 µm ) and F 1200(3-6 µm) sized particles are used as reinforcing agents in the production of composite materials. The matrix material is %99,9 Al with dimensions 30x60 mm. Grinding paper and Al plates are laminated and subjected to 4 different forces as 30, 35, 40 and 50 tones under hydraulic press. After being produced, metal matrix composites (MMC) are heat treated for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours in order to find out the effect of temperature on matrix and reinforcing material. After conducting microstructural and SEM analysis, it is concluded that there occured mechanical bonding and there is an increase in the % volume depending on the time of the heat treatment.
