Abstract (EN)

Change and transformation move with time. Therefore, time is in constant motion, causing society to change, progress, and renew. Space and daily life are among the concepts most affected by these processes. Humans and space appear as two sides of an inseparable dependent relationship. The bond between space and humans in daily life has always been important and has gained significant importance today. The foremost space where we feel good, comfortable, and safe starts with our home, which fulfills our need for shelter. Every detail and change in the structure and function of space alters and transforms the bond between humans and space. Thus, space constantly appears in a form that changes and transforms. This study is a sociological research focusing on the spatial change and transformation process in the district of Halfeti. The characteristics of the differentiation in daily life following spatial transformation have been observed. Not every change and transformation yields positive results. Therefore, in the context of the Halfeti district, the advantages and disadvantages have been evaluated and analyzed based on observations, discussing whether these concepts are positive, negative, or a mixture of both. Additionally, the relationship between the process of apartmentization and daily life has been analyzed, aiming to examine the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of people living in detached houses versus modern apartment units. The study consists of three main sections. The first section addresses the concepts of space, daily life, and related concepts within a conceptual framework, providing definitions. The second section provides information about the research design, including explanations of the research's purpose and importance, management, and data collection. The third section presents the findings of the field research conducted using a qualitative research method.
