Abstract (EN)
By this study it is aimed to assess the poems and the poetry took place in the children?s magazine named ?Mektebli? which published thirty-nine times in the years of the second Constitutional Period, in terms of children?s literature. All the numbers of the ?Mektebli? magazine were reviewed one by one, all the poems and the poetry in them were translated into today?s Turkish and these poems were assessed in terms of children?s literature.This study composed of conceptual framework, the classification of the poems in ?Mektebli? magazine, the examination of poems in terms of children?s literature criteria evaluation departments.In the first section it was determined a conceptual framework by giving information about children?s literature in Turkey and in the world with its definition and scope, children?s literature and poem, children?s magazine publishing in Turkey and in the world, the history, political and social status of the second Constitutional period when ?Mektebli? magazine was published, the children?s view of that period and ?Mektebli? magazine.In the second section, the poetry and poems in ?Mektebli? magazine, were grouped in terms of shape features and themes.In the third section, it was given the poetry and poems of ?Mektebli? magazine, which were grouped in terms of their themes. These poetry and poems were examined in terms of the theme, the basic message, the side messages, literary sayings, reality of children and shape properties.In the fourth section it was given information about important poets by giving the poets and their poems.In the fifth section an overall evaluation has been made and result is included together with the suggestions.
