Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer and is among the leading causes of death. Although significant improvements in survival have been observed, with the early diagnosis methods applied, breast cancer continues to be an important public health problem with its mortality rates. The aim of this study is to examine the prognostic and predictive factors in the diagnosis of breast cancer and to investigate the effects of these factors on survival. Within the scope of the research, the data of female patients diagnosed with breast cancer who applied to the of Başkent University Hospital in the 10-year period between 2010- 2020 were examined and 1.096 patients were included in the study. All data collected from the hospital registry database, from the E-Nabız Personal Health System, from the patients and their relatives via telephone interviews were entered into the SPSS software and evaluated through this software. Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis. Log Rank test was used in Kaplan-Meier method. As a result of the study, it was found that the diagnosis age had a significant effect on survival, and patients diagnosed between the ages of 40-49 had the highest survival rates compared to other age groups. It has been found that the estrogen receptor, rogesterone receptor status, and lymphovascular invasion status has significant effect on survival in breast cancer. In addition, it was concluded that Ki-67 affects prognosis independently of molecular subtypes. Histological subtypes and type of surgery and hormone therapy were found to significantly alter patients' survival. It is understood that prognostic and predictive factors are important in addition to staging in the treatment management of patients with breast cancer. It was concluded that the results of the patients' pathological receptor status, diagnosis age and histological type of breast cancer, type of surgery they underwent and the treatments received changed the prognosis. Studies examining survival, prognostic and predictive factors are limited in the literature, and there is a need for larger-scale studies covering longer periods on this subject.
