Abstract (EN)

In this study, accent features of Mengen district, a province of Bolu have been tried to be determined. For this purpose, twenty seven compilations from Mengen and Mengen's villages were made and these compilations were arranged in thirty three texts. We have tried to get elaborate voice records from the center of Mengen, Gökçesu town, and different villages of Mengen. While making this compilations, the old people who have not been away from Mengen very often and the ones who have managed to preserve accent features of the region were especially prefered. The texts that we compiled were written according to the system which was presented by Professor Dr. Ahmet Bican Ercilasun at "The Accent Researches Symposium". After our studies on phonetics, morphology and dictionary studies using compiled texts accent features of Mengen and its villages have been tried to be determined. In the introduction part of our study Mengen and its villages have been introduced and the topics that were talked with the people of the region during the compilation process were included. In the dictionary the words which have differentiated from contemporary Turkish were included. In the conclusion part, different and similar aspects of Mengen accent compared to contemporary Turkish and other Anatolian accents have been tried to be determined.
