Material and Method: The sample of the study consisted of 400 womenselectedfrom women who went through the menopause and lived in the city center of Tunceli. "Personal Introductory Form", "Cervantes Personality Scale", and "MenopauseAssessment Scale" were used in order to collect the data. In order to assess the data; number, percentage, mean, standard variation, t test, analysis of variance, tukey test, and pearson correlation test were used. Results: It was determined that the average age of the women was57.31 ± 5.22 and the average age of menopause was 49.63±5.07. As educational level of women and their husbands increased, mean score of psychological subscale of MAS decreased; and as the educational level decreased, urogenital complaints decreased. The women with low education levels had more extrovert and neurotic personality characteristics. A statistically significant correlation was found between CPS emotional stability/neuroticism subscale scores and all the subscales of MAS, andbetween CPS extrovert/introvert subscales and somatic and urogenital subscales of MAS. When relationship of sub-group scores of CPS with each other was examined, there was a significant correlation between extrovert/introvert scores and emotional stability/neuroticism scores. When examining relationship of sub-group scores of MASwith each other, a statistically significant correlation was found between the somatic subscale and the psychological and urogenital subscales, and between the psychological and urogenital subscales(p<0.05). Conclusion:Consequently, it was revealed that the women showing more extroversion and emotionally stablepersonalitycharacteristics had less menopausal complaints.
