Abstract (EN)

The city of Almaria, XV. In the 17th century, when the dominance of Muslims in Andalusia was very narrow, it was an important passage that provided communication between Granada and the Maghreb. The foundation was laid during the Located on the southeast coast of Andalusia, the city of Almaria was present on the peninsula when the Muslims conquered Spain; Işbiliye is not one of the ancient cities like Cordoba, Qadis and Tuleytula. Meriye is a port city that was built by the Muslims themselves and entered the agenda of Andalusia especially during the Mülükü't-Tawaif period. Andalusian Umayyad The city formed around a castle built by Emir III. Abdurrahman on a hill overlooking the coast; With its geographical structure and sheltered harbor, it became an important naval base and maritime trade center of Andalusia during the period of Mülükü't-Tawaif and Almoravids. Andalusian Umayyads; The Muslim domination in the city of Almaria, which gained an important political and cultural momentum during the period of Mülükü't-Tawaif and Almoravids, ended in 895/1490 with the capture of the city by the Castilian forces.
