Almost every period of history from the past to the present of the marble in the past as we have seen in the past is still important. Marble is used as a natural stone in different areas and has many varieties. Turkey is a country rich reserves of marble meets a large part of world reserves. Afyon, Balikesir, Bursa, Istanbul, Izmir, Mugla, Burdur, Kırklareli, Kirsehir, Çankırı, Çorum, Kastamonu, Nigde, Kayseri, Bitlis, Erzincan, Sivas, Tokat, Kütahya, Eskişehir, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Çanakkale, Konya and Manisa, Turkey the marble reserves are found in a large amount, the extraction and processing provinces. While industrialization progresses day by day, occupational diseases progress in parallel with these diseases and new diseases emerge. In this case, the people of the region, which are mostly industrialized, are affected. Occupational lung diseases, which are among the most important occupational diseases, are known today as a common and increasing disease. The marble dust that marble workers are exposed to by inhalation causes many discomforts and silicosis caused by silica dust is one of the most common and dangerous ones. But this is not the only effect of silica dust. Silica dust is thought to cause a number of alterations and thus contribute to the impact of scleroderma. The relationship between systemic scleroderma and silica dust is called Erasmus Syndrome and it is very important for public health to determine closely the cases of silica dust exposed to silica dust and to decide the termination of the situation when necessary. In our study, one-to-one survey was conducted with the workers in the marble factories and the known dangers were developed, the unknown and invisible hazards were explained to the workers and institutions in an open language and the information about the socio-demographic characteristics, working conditions and health status of the workers working in the marble factories in our city was aimed. Necessary ethical permits were obtained in order to carry out the study. When all the health and disease statuses of the participants were examined by statistical analysis, the difference between all dependent and independent variables was statistically significant (p <0.05). When the workplace and occupational characteristics of the participants were examined, it was found that the difference between all dependent and independent variables was statistically significant (p <0.05). According to the information we obtained from our study, it is known that erasmus syndrome is not known and the effective treatment against the disease is not yet known.
