Özet (EN)
Marble cutting discs are exposed to normal and tangential forces effect on the tooth faces during cutting processes. The forces exert the discs in different manner depending on the hardness of marble. Therefore, these forces cause the stress intensities at the tooth root area of the disc. Stress intensities at tooth root are an unexpected feature. The cracking and breaking occur at segment areas due to shock loading. If the natural frequency and mode shapes of the marble cutting discs are determined the disc can be prevented from resonance. Increasing of the flange diameter causes to increase the natural frequency values. The displacement values of the disc which are dependent on damped and undamped forced vibration cases increase when the velocity increases at the disc. Therefore undamped vibration state causes to constitute great amplitude and undesirable oscillations. In this study, static and dynamic behaviours of the cutting discs are investigated. The effect of normal and tangential forces on diferent chip thicknesses are investigated. Stress variations are determined for the different cutting speeds. In the dynamic analysis, natural frequency and mode shapes are determined in free vibration state of the disc. In addition, harmonic solution (forced vibration) case is carried out for the cutting forces effecting on the tooth face. Displacement values for the forced vibration cases on the tooth are investigated. Keywords: Cutting Discs, Stress Analysis, Vibration, Modal Anaysis, Finite Element Method
