Abstract (EN)
This study was created in order to reveal the role of the members of the scholarship that Ayntab (Gaziantep), one of the oldest cultural centers of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, raised by the Ottomans between 1844-1887. The subject of this study, which was prepared as a Master's Thesis, consists of the biographies of the mufti, professor, clerk, regent and the scholars who served in different services of the state and their contributions to the science of history in Ayntab Sanjak and Kilis and Islahiye Accidents between the years 1844-1887. In line with the data obtained from the Registry-i Ahval files in the Meşîhat Archive, the lives of fifteen scholars were examined. The information in the archive documents, consisting of fifteen files (304 sheets) in total, was supported by the study and presented to the readers. In the examinations made, it was concluded that they served the people of the region in many subjects, especially justice (law) and education, from the Gaziantep science, which was not included in any thesis before.
